This year, the big multi-vendor auction will take place on April 20th on the Facebook page. We have a TON of awesome items up for auction, and I still am adding more as they come in. I am so blessed to have such amazingly talented friends that are willing to donate for such an awesome cause! The auction runs from noon until 10PM CST on that day, so PLEASE mark your calenders accordingly! Check out some of the awesome one of a kind items that are available!

All of the event happenings will happen over on the Facebook page, so make sure you check back often!

Also, during the month of April, ALL bags ordered with a rainbow fabric will have 25% donated to the fund. This is an awesome way to grab a cool custom bag, and still donate to the event! Rainbow fabrics can be found in this Pinterest album, but if you have another one in mine, I would love to use that as well! Remember, ONLY rainbow fabrics are available for this cool deal!

All funds raised with this event this year will be donated to the Organization for Autism Research. It is the only organization of it’s kind to focus solely on applied research. From OAR:
” The mission of “applying” research to answer questions of daily concern for those living with autism drives each of the goals and objectives that define OAR’s programs and determine its budget.

OAR’s defines applied research as research that directly impacts the day-to-day quality of life of learners with autism. It entails the systematic investigation of variables associated with positive outcomes in such areas as education, communication, self care, social skills, employment, behavior, and adult and community living. In this context, it extends to issues related to family support, the efficacy of service delivery systems, and demographic analyses of the autism community.”

This organization provides support and education for THOUSANDS of families with a loved one on the spectrum, and is an invaluable resource for many, many people. BVG is proud to have them benefit from this event this year!
