Size References for the 3 Current BVG Bag Styles

A lot of my customers get pretty confused when they are ordering bags, as to which bag size and style will best fit their needs. It can be pretty confusing, not only from YOUR perspective, but also from mine, as what may work for me may not work for another mama or daddy. That being said, I decided that a size reference series here on the blog would be a big help to those caught between bag sizes.

Let’s sat off with the Fundamental bag. It is a tote style bag, with 2 interior flap style pockets, an inner recessed zip pocket, 2 outer flap pockets, 2 outer bottle pockets, and a magnetic snap closure. First, I decided to see exactly how many cloth diapers I could fit in this bag. The answer? 6 double stuffed Fuzzi Bunz OS diapers fit in the bottom of this bag easily, with room to spare.

So then I added a change of clothing in a size 4T, a wipes package, and I stuck my wallet into the zip pocket.

On top of all of that, I added an infant size Rocker Bye Baby blanket. All of this fit easily, with room to spare, as there was still noting in the outer 2 pockets, OR the bottle pockets!

Next up, is the Expedient bag. It fit the same 6 diapers, and I could have fit one more easily (I just didn’t have enough, it is laundry day! LOL!)

Now, the wipes pack, the change of clothes, and my wallet.

I also fit the infant blanket on top, but…you get the picture! I also had an interior pocket left, and all 4 outer pockets empty! SO it is a bit bigger then the tote. The biggest difference between the two is the closure, as this one has a zipper instead of a snap closure.

Last, but CERTAINLY not least, is the Upsized Expedient. No joke, this is like the mother of all diaper bags. It holds a HUGE amount. WHen I was talking on Facebook about how big they are, my amazing mommy friend Slee (who blogs here, check her out!) shared a great picture to show JUST HOW huge this bag style is! It is her amazing Upsized Expedient bag. With her 2 year old….INSIDE of the bag! LOL!

So I started with the 6 double stuffed FB OS dipes.

LOOK HOW MUCH ROOM IS LEFT!!!!! Now, enter the change of clothing, wipes pouch, and wallet!

Now, let’s toss in a TODDLER sized Rocker Bye Baby blanket!

There is still a ton of room in there! SO I stuck in a Mr. Potato Head, a pair of size 9 toddler shoes, 3 board books, and I could STILL ZIP THE BAG! And, I still had 1 inner pocket, and all 4 outer pockets free!!!!!

I hope this is a good visual for those of you that are on the fence about sizes. It can be hard for me to explain how big they are, so I can only imagine how it is for you all to imagine their size, not having seen one! Jen El is an old and dear friend, and has been rocking out clothing for the masses for quite some time now. So it only made sense that she start making rockin’ threads for the kiddos, too!!! Shopping for Teens- Mudd Slinger Ceramics and Crafts

The owner of Mudd Slinger, Brandy, is one of the most amazing people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Not only is she the amazingly talented creator behind Mudd Slinger, but she is also AMAZINGLY gorgeous. Every time I see a new picture of her (she does makeup tutorials over on Youtube) my jaw kinda drops a little bit. This girl needs to be on magazine covers.

Her colorful appearance, and personality really shine through in her artwork. She is a very talented sculptor, clay artist, heck…she really does it all! The reason that I chose her for the shopping for teens post, is because her items really speak to a younger, more carefree soul. NOT to say that others cannot rock a MSC piece. Last June, for my grandma’s 97th birthday, I commissioned Brandy to create a brooch for her. Brandy being so talented, made an amazing orchid. It simply was perfect. Not only that, but my Gigi (who is a botanist, and has worked with orchids most of her life) was amazed at how realistic Brandy made her gift! That right there is saying a lot!

Brandy has a lot of really cool jewelry items in her shop. The one item that I am really diggin for the young adults, though, is the gauged ear jewelry. If you are a piercer (or are pierced) and have holes that are stretched (or gauged) then you know how hard it can be to find wicked jewelry at a reasonable price that does not SUCK! Well, look no further. How amazing are these?

I know, I know…this is a day late…… But the BEST things are worth waiting for, right? And this giveaway is no exception! Karyl is a long time crafting friend, amazing mama to two kiddos, and the mastermind behind Biting Gnome Baubles. I have a bunch of her custom bauble necklaces, and last year for Christmas, she made me some AMAZING gifts for the ladies in my family! My sister still shows wears her Bears necklace every Sunday religiously!

The thing I love about Biting Gnome is not only are Karyl’s items really cute and unique, but they also are amazingly well made. Gifts for Men- Circa Ceramics

You all know. I love buying handmade. But even more then buying handmade, I love buying LOCAL handmade. And Circa Ceramics is a studio I have loved for a long time now. If I did not live in a house full of boys that bust up my dishes on a daily basis, my whole kitchen would be NOTHING but this stuff, I swear.

What guy wouldn’t want to drink their morning coffee out of this cup?!?!?!

I am really excited about this giveaway. Not only is this one of my all time favorite companies pretty much in the history of my life, but it is one of my dear friends, AND an amazing product that could either be used as a gift, or to use for holiday glitz and glam!

Let me introduce you to Madd Style cosmetics. Mo first started out with lip bombs, and lip products, then decided to expand to eye pigments. (Word has it she is going to more expanding come the new year, so this is FOR SURE a company to keep an eye on!) Besides the obvious of WHY I love all of her bright, vibrant colors, is the fact that they are by far the easiest pigments that I have ever used. They blend so well, that even novice users that have never used pigments before can make their eyes look like a professional did their makeup. When you use a brush, they pretty much blend themselves. I also like that her colors are not all OMG IN YOUR FACE BRIGHT! Don’t get me wrong, you can layer them into amazing color coverage, but she also offers a bunch of color choices that are pretty amazing for every day use, for the office, or for when you don’t want to feel like Tinkerbell crash-landed on your face.
